बहुत से candidates "cut off" और "safe score" को same समझते हैं — लेकिन ये दोनों अलग हैं।
Cut Off = वो minimum marks जो officially announce होते हैं। इतने पर आप qualify करते हैं, लेकिन selection guaranteed नहीं।
Safe Score = वो marks जिन पर आपका document verification के लिए shortlist होना almost certain हो। यह cut off से 5 से 10 marks ऊपर होता है।

RRB Technician cut off हर साल same नहीं रहती — इसे decide करने में ये factors काम करते हैं:
1. Vacancies की संख्या कम vacancies = ज़्यादा competition = higher cut off। 2026 में Grade 3 की vacancies 2025 से कम हैं, इसलिए cut off थोड़ी ज़्यादा हो सकती है।
2. Exam की Difficulty Level Paper tough होने पर cut off नीचे जाती है। Paper easy होने पर candidates ज़्यादा marks लाते हैं और cut off ऊपर जाती है।
3. Normalization RRB multiple shifts में exam conduct करता है। Different shifts के difficulty को balance करने के लिए normalization apply होती है — इससे raw marks और final marks में फर्क आता है।
4. Candidates की संख्या जितने ज़्यादा candidates, उतनी ज़्यादा competition। 2026 में estimated 50 से 80 लाख candidates appear करेंगे।
5. Zone और Category हर zone की अलग cut off होती है। Reserved categories की cut off naturally कम होती है।
बहुत candidates यह गलती करते हैं — minimum qualifying marks को cut off समझ लेते हैं।

Minimum qualifying marks = आपको disqualify होने से बचाते हैं। Cut off = आपको selection list में लाते हैं।
दोनों में बहुत बड़ा फर्क है — इसलिए minimum qualifying marks पर नहीं, cut off के ऊपर target रखें।
Exam देने के बाद candidates अपना approximate score calculate कर सकते हैं:
Score = (सही जवाब × 1) — (गलत जवाब × 0.33)
उदाहरण: अगर आपने 100 में से 90 attempt किए, जिनमें 75 सही और 15 गलत हैं —
Score = 75 – (15 × 0.33) = 75 – 4.95 = 70.05 (Raw Score)
Final normalized score इससे ऊपर या नीचे हो सकता है।
Mathematics & Reasoning पर Focus करें ये दोनों subjects सबसे ज़्यादा scoring हैं। एक भी calculation mistake avoid करें।
Mock Tests से Normalize करें Online mock tests solve करें और देखें कि आप consistently कितना score कर रहे हैं। अगर mock में 78+ आ रहा है, तो real exam में safe score likely है।
Time Management 90 minutes में 100 questions। कोई question 2 minutes से ज़्यादा नहीं — अगर नहीं आता, skip करो।
Negative Marking से बचें Random guessing avoid करें। 3 गलत जवाब एक सही जवाब cancel कर देते हैं।
